Can anyone give me their opinion regarding arranging a solid wood plot below the dirt queue on a dry concrete slab.  I know it's not recommended, but there are no moisture issues at all.  I would like to use a solid, but would like to hear from somebody who has done it successfully and what they used.

I am living in a village where houses are open. I want to use tiles in my house. Please tell me that concrete should be used below it or not. I think tiles are better than marble. Give me your views for marble and tile.

But, please remember that hardwood flooring is not an easy task if you don’t know the basic carpentry work. Optionally you can go for laminate flooring. It is easy to install. It is cheap and have similar look as hardwood flooring.
